DIN 2817'Safety' clamps are specifically
designed for use with DIN 2817 hosetails fittings. The large rounded teeth
inside the clamp halves securely grip the strong, tough hose cover, whilst
the end of the clamp fits securely in to the groove on the hose tail.
The DIN 2817 smooth hosetail ensures that no damage is done to the softer, weaker and
more vunerable hose lining.
The DIN 2817 Clamp and hosetail system is therefore double locked, unlike
other bolt or band clamps. It offers more security than all but the heaviest
swage ferrules but offers the advantage of being able to repair or replace
the hose.
DIN 2817 clamps are light, particularly in Aluminium, and they have rounded profiles
so they are both easy and safe to handle. This contrasts with products
like bolt clamps which are extremely heavy and have bolts protruding, which
constitute a considerable hazard.
DIN 2817 'Safety' clamps are made
