Fire Hose
Intrico supply 'Fire Hose' in various grades, colours, with and without couplings.
All Intrico layflat fire hose is manufactured in accordance with BS6391 and is also MED (Ships Wheel) approval for marine use. Intrico BS6391 hose is available in three grades.
BS6391 type 3 - Nova - a premium quality layflat hose manufactured in accordance with Grade 3 of the standard. Nova is oil and chemical resistant being constructed from a PVC and rubber blend, it has excellent heat resistance, is abrasion resistant due to the thick, ribbed outer cover, it needs no drying and is easy to repair. The thick cover on our Nova layflat fire hose also provides excellent weather resistance. The cover is available in red as standard but also comes in blue and yellow. Suitable for fresh and salt water. Truly a professional grade fire hose.
BS6391 type 2 - Starflex - a high quality, light weight, synthetic layflat fire hose with a tough, hard wearing, highly abrasion resistant synthetic woven jacket and elastomeric coating which makes also makes it rot proof and easy to clean. Available as standard in red, Starflex is also available in other colours.
BS6391 type 1 - Starflex - is the standard fire hose. Starflex type 1 is fully synthetic and therefore light, flexible and because it is full synthetic it is also durable, despite not having the elastomeric coating. Starflex type 1 is supplied in white.
Both Nova and Starflex layflat hose can be supplied with end fittings or as hose only.
